The MPN Laboratory offers a molecular screening service for mutations commonly associated with Myeloproliferative Neoplasms.  Located with the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, the service is supported by Molecular Pathology, as part of Molecular Diagnostics.   The service also provides testing for the genetic component of Thrombophilia screening, in collaboration with the Specialist Haemostasis Laboratory, also based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

The MPN Laboratory is administered through NHS Lothian –University Hospitals Division and serves the populations of Edinburgh, Borders and Fife.

The laboratory is open between 09:00 and 17:00hrs, Monday to Friday.  There is no "out of hours" service available.
