Fungal studies are available as a separate specialism with Microbiology, based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
A variety of Clinical Mycology tests are available for the detection, identification and susceptibility testing of fungal isolates. In addition, anti fungal assays may be available on consultation with the Microbiologist.
