Turn-around Times

The RCPath KPIs informs ISO15189:2022 standards 8.8.2 and advises the following: The proportion of all final reports on diagnostic cytology and histopathology cases that are reported, confirmed and authorised within seven and ten calendar days of the procedure shall be published and recorded. Cases requiring prolonged decalcification (not bone marrow trephines) are excluded, as are cases requiring molecular tests.

Provisional expectations are that 80% of cases would be reported within seven calendar days and 90% of all cases are reported within ten calendar days.
