Laboratory Medicine is responsible for carrying out the investigations that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. It forms part of Healthcare Science which is divided into three different sectors:
- Life Sciences (which includes Laboratory Medicine)
- Physical Sciences
- Physiological Sciences
