Results are interpreted as follows:

Diabetes Mellitus: Fasting sample >6.9 mmol/L or 2 hours sample >11.0 mmol/L

Impaired Glucose Tolerance: Fasting sample <7.0 mmol/L and 2 hour sample 7.8-11.0 mmol/L

Impaired Fasting Glycaemia: Fasting sample 6.1-6.9 mmol/L and 2 hour sample <7.8 mmol/L
